the "deals" happened before  Tom got smart/educated enough to stop thinking like a BD backyard  manufacture.
Spending copious amounts of time on R&D in an attempt to achieve the pinnacle of product performance, then selling it for too cheap to sustain profitability,  expansion and demand
Not unlike the quality focused BDCC start-up  that clean for $20-$25 a rm but deliver $60-$80 a rm quality.
They either figured it out in a few years, or spend the rest of their lives cleaning Motel-6 rooms across the tri-state area for 12-bukz-a-pop.....
