Easy if your mechanical, Did mine at 4000K hours, belt was perfect no cracks , Will do it again at 8K .I also changed the pulley and the water pump while i was in there
Not worried about the warranty that dictates every 2000?

Or do you have the Nissan?

I always recommend replacing the water pump, tensioner, and idler pulley while you are in there. The water pump is behind the timing belt, and there is nothing worse than having the water pump start dripping 100-200 hours after doing the timing belt. The tensioner and idler pulley are just precautionary. It is an interference motor after all.
