After a good Purple Powering & Green Padding which did next to not.

Top layer came off exposing more shrimp and mac nut

But eventually 250º got it out with 30 slow passes.

I clean a restaurant on a monthly basis with the same problem. At first I thought they may have a water leak, but then I learned it was from the kitchen help pouring buckets of water on the kitchen floor to scrub with deck brush etc. and then mop. Water would get on the carpet before it was moped up. I have to extract the carpet in a small area with a claw first and then clean.

I've never been able to use a claw on direct glue down carpets.

I had a Vortex walk-up while cleaning a local country club a couple months ago. It was the manager of a local restaurant wanting me to come give him an est. He was unhappy with his current cleaner. I turned him down.

Now, with the economy the way it is, I wish I hadn't.

Not nearly as proud, or picky as I used to be.

One of my regular accounts had a grease slick like that. I didn't get too fancy, third month in it was gone. Came back a little each month, but I have been able to keep it at bay now. Every 3rd or 4th cleaning I have my helper monkey get down with a bone scraper and scrape the build up at the edge of the tile with some gel break and flush it out.

The more you clean, the more you'll eat at home rather than eat out.

Back in my days of cleaning and my early days of demonstrating truck mounts, we didn't carry fresh water; so I had to go into the kitchen to hook up my water supply.

I never ate in the places I cleaned or demonstrated at again.

There's plenty tasty "non meat" dishes I can enjoy, (alfredo sauce with linguine, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes comes to mind) , but nearly all use cheese, butter, etc in the making.

When I first started cleaning, I worked for an outfit that mostly did restaurant work. My god, some of them were filthy - nauseating. I don't know how they kept their "A" health rating.

I never ate at them either.

Works both ways.
I had a few where I would never eat.
However, I have one French restaurant I clean that the kitchen is kept spotless.
I'd love to eat more there.

Be a man an take the damn glide off. go to costco and buy a gallon of degreaser for 6 bucks and for Gods sake clean the damn edges.I cleaned greasy chinese restaraunts four over ten years before i got smart and fired them all.If you take the glide off you wont need fans to dry the carpet.My jobs looked just like yours and my tm put out 170 degrees you know this is not rocket science. There is no excuse for not getting a carpet clean and being the guru of this industry you shoud hang your head in shame.Love you keep up the good work. :wink:

When it comes to the "ICE CREAM SCOOP" style nastiness in front of the kitchen, I take the glide OFF.

You just need that extra agitation.
Then re-attach the glide for the rest.
